It arrived! The passport brouhaha is coming to an end!

                                                Gudmundur stamped me into Iceland.

My ancient cast iron wood stove badly needs repair. We took it off Teddy, and it is behind Skuli the steelworker, flexing his muscles. Next year I'll return to pick it up.

Jon gave us a tour of his fisherman's museum.

Smocks & boots

Longlines, and small ring buoys for nets

The hub of a cart's wheel, worn down by the sea. What a find for the beachcomber!

Jon plans to restore this old fjord motorboat for his own use. Lapstrake planking, beaded, riveted. The lines are very fine. Pure Norwegian/Viking heritage. This is a very fast boat.

The forecast is good for going south.  Boreray & St Kilda are 4 days sail. They are 40 miles west of the Isle of Lewis, Scotland. Bunch of jobs to do, including getting stamped out with my PASSPORT. We leave this afternoon.

Edit: Forecast changed a lot this afternoon. Staying in, see in the morn.
